Instead of a traditional year-end recap, Netflix has turned the format on its head with a global spot titled “Spoiled 2025.” The campaign openly reveals the endings of more than 35 series, films, documentaries and live events released on the platform this year. As expected, the video comes with a major spoiler warning for fans – although, by now, you’ve probably had enough time to catch up on them all.
Unlike typical year-end campaigns that lean on nostalgia and reflection, this approach is all about resolution. By spotlighting final scenes and decisive outcomes, Netflix reconnects audiences with what they’ve already watched while subtly pointing them toward what’s coming next.
Created in collaboration with Wieden+Kennedy Portland, the spot pulls from across Netflix’s slate, jumping between headline finales and late-season twists from major series, buzzy newer releases, and familiar reality franchises, while also weaving in moments from sports and live events. The mix highlights just how expansive the platform’s offering has become, spanning scripted drama, unscripted formats and live programming.
Magno Herran, Netflix’s vice president of global brand and marketing partnerships, explained that the campaign is intended less as a series of spoilers and more as a set of inside jokes shared with the platform’s most dedicated fans.
Looking to the year ahead, Netflix is preparing for a packed 2026 that cuts across major franchises, original storytelling and live formats. The upcoming lineup spans new chapters of established series, high-profile film projects, and returning fan favourites. Among the titles already lined up for 2026 are a new season of Bridgerton, Greta Gerwig’s fresh adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia for Netflix, and Will Ferrell’s upcoming comedy series Golf.
