BIRCA from Bornholm (Denmark) in cooperation with the Fund for Others / Domino and S.E.A. (Artistic-Ecological Multimedia Platform on Silba Island) from Croatia, are organizing a residential program of exchange of Croatian and Danish artists.
BIRCA is focused on art organizations and collectives that work in the field of dance, performance and crossover, who want to explore creativity in contact with nature and the influence of a peaceful island environment on artistic expression. The exchange includes two weeks of residency at Bornholm in Denmark in September 2018, and Danish artists will have a two-week stay on the Silba Island in Croatia in June 2018.
During June, a residence of Danish artists focused on sustainability on the island of Silba will be held by the Domino’s Fund4Others in collaboration with S.E.A. SilbaEnvironment Art.
After the residency Danish artists will arrive in Zagreb, and together with the Croatian artists selected for the residency they will participate in a one-day workshop on 1 July, where they will meet before the joint residency in Denmark. Danish artists will then present their work to the audience of the Perforations Festival.
The Fund4Others is a program of the Domino association that encourages philanthropy in Croatia, and advocates greater support of art, activism and education.
