Anton Corbijn to Headline Bea World 2025: Trust the Artist

From Rome, with meaning. As the 20th edition of Bea World Festival draws near, one name stands out on the programme - not for the number of awards he’s won, but for the worlds he’s helped us see.

This year marks the beginning of our partnership with Bea World Festival, the international stage where the most daring and imaginative projects in live communication are celebrated. As Media Marketing, we’re here to share stories in our part of the world, where great ideas often need just a little more spotlight to travel far, and we hope that projects from the Adriatic region will be even more present at this year’s festival. So get ready to travel to Rome and witness the history behind the 20th edition of BEA.

And speaking of ideas and travel – let’s talk about Anton Corbijn.

Yes, that Anton. The one who made U2 look timeless, Depeche Mode feel immortal, and Coldplay oddly credible. The man behind Control, The American, A Most Wanted Man – and the kind of imagery that stays etched in memory long after the lights fade. A visual artist. A cultural architect.

As Tom Waits once put it, “Anton Corbijn is a cross between a Russian spy, a painter, a gigolo, and a priest. He’s a fly on the wall. He’s the king of the ball. He’s the King of them all.”

Beyond his spectacles in art, Corbijn has shaped major visual campaigns for global brands including Levi’s (with Kate Moss), Dior (with Natalie Portman), and G-Star RAW (with Magnus Carlsen).

In a special on-stage conversation at Bea World 2025, Corbijn will join Patrick Roubroeks – founder of XSAGA and one of the industry’s sharpest minds – for 27Minutes, a format created by 27Names, the network of Europe’s independent live-experience agencies. No panel filler, no corporate slides. Just two creatives, on stage, digging into one big question: how do talent, technology, and trust intersect today?

With AI speeding up content, clients demanding more for less, and audiences forgetting everything 30 seconds after it happens, it’s fair to ask: where does artistic instinct fit into all of this? If anyone can answer that – it’s Anton Corbijn.

This will be the second edition of the 27Minutes series, after last year’s memorable conversation with Thierry Reboul, the mind behind the Paris 2024 Olympic celebrations.

For all of those in the events and brand experience world, this is a kind of quiet provocation. A reminder that creativity is not logistics and that meaning matters more than metrics.

Bea World Festival 2025 takes place 21–22 November at Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome – where Corbijn actually filmed much of its latest film which is currently in post-production. So, don’t miss the opportunity to be where the future of live communication is being shaped… now’s the time.

We’ll be there. So will Corbijn.

Trust the artist.
