With the last day of last year, all future companies under the umbrella of Agrokor Group, except Agrokor d.d., have officially been given new names – by adding the ‘plus’ suffix to the ‘old’ name.
For example, after this ‘rebranding’ implementation, Konzum will operate under the name Konzum plus, Jamnica under the name Jamnica Plus, Zvijezda as Zvijezda plus, Ledo as Ledo plus and so on. Unlike them, the Agrokor d.d. will get a brand new name by the end of January, and will no longer use the name Agrokor.
The announcement explains that the new names of companies will begin official operations after the completion of the settlement of Agrokor’s creditors.
In the transition stage, headquarters of all companies will be in Zagreb, and after the implementation of the settlement they will be returned to their current base cities in Croatia. The old names were retained in the names of new companies to preserve the value of the strong brands of these companies, which will continue to act on the market under the current brands even after implementation of the settlement, Agrokor explained.
All of these changes are part of the process of implementing the settlement of Agrokor’s creditors, which should be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2019.
