The Campaign for Mayor of the City of Šibenik in 2017, implemented by the PR agency Manjgura in collaboration with the client Željko Burić and HDZ Šibenik, won the prestigious Polaris prize for political communication, awarded by the European Association of Political Consultants (EAPC).
The project entitled “How Željko Burić became the first reelected Mayor in the history of Šibenik” competed for the award with campaigns from around the world. The award Polaris was given to Manjgura by a jury composed of renowned international experts from the field of political consultancy, digital marketing, public relations, media, direct mailing and field campaigns, marketing, design and development of new technologies. This is also the crown of the successful 2017 – a year in which Manjgura strategically developed and together with its clients won in all the political campaigns in Croatia for the 2017 local elections.
“We are very proud of the award because it is a worldwide recognition of excellence in business. Polaris, as well as last year’s business results of our team in all sectors, confirm that hard work and systematic investment in education and development of staff are well worth it and recognized, because the award-winning campaign was realized by an extremely young team of communication specialists who ‘matured’ in Manjgura,” said Katarina Leko, director of the public relations agency Manjgura.
The Polaris Award Ceremony will be held at a gala event in London, on 14 March 2018, as part of the EAPC Annual Conference, and will be attended by Manjgura’s advisors.
“We would like to thank Željko Burić and the extraordinary people in Šibenik who, after the successful first joint campaign in 2013, again placed their trust in us for these local elections. Again, we have shown that true synergy between the client and the agency can achieve excellent results. In 2017, Željko Burić became the first mayor in the history of Šibenik whom voters elected twice, and a few more records were broken. I am also glad for our young team who have been doing an incredible job for years, and I believe that this award will be an incentive for them to be even better,” said the communications adviser and head of Manjgura’s team for political campaigns Gordan Turković.
