The second edition of Picnic – a new place of assembly of the communications industry and business – on Thursday, 12 May, will bring lecturers from the most prestigious US University, Harvard, and a novelty in the program – Domaćice (Homegrown). After a successful first event, which gathered more than a thousand people, Picnic will again be held at Johann Franck club in Zagreb, beginning at 20:00 hours.

There is equally strong interest for the second Picnic, where the main lecturer will be Vladimir Bosiljevac, a professor at Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School, who will talk about life in a global corporation. Bosiljevac graduated in Zagreb and began his career in investment banking and corporate sector. He has been teaching at Harvard since 2009, since when he has recorded the highest rating among students for five consecutive years thanks to his innovative lectures on mergers and acquisitions, ie. the consolidation of various companies and assets. Also coming to Picnic from Harvard is Kyle Buffenmyer who spent seven years in the management of the holding company Al-Rajhi, owned by one of the richest Saudi families, and in the Monitor Group, a consulting company owned by one of the most famous US economists, Michael Porter.

“The lecture by Stanford’s Russell Siegelman at the first Picnic is still being buzzed about, and I’m sure that speakers from Harvard will be just as intriguing and interesting. On the other hand, the Croatian communications industry also has a lot to offer, and the mission of Picnic is to connect the best of the world with the best of Croatia,” said Nikola Vrdoljak, CEO of the agency 404, which is one of the organizers of Picnic along with the agency Pepermint.

In accordance with its primary focus, the second Picnic will bring a new feature: a series presenting the best of the Croatian communications industry called Domaćice (Homegrown). The first timeslot of Domaćice is reserved for the agency Utorak, which will be presented by Jakov Vilović, and for Media Val, which will be presented by Mario Medek.

“The novelty of the program are Domaćice which as of this issue become a staple part of the Picnic – thus opening space for colleagues from agencies to present their best projects, ideas and products designed for clients, who recorded success in the market. It will be a kind of show-off of the best of our market,” said Tomo Ricov, CEO of Pepermint.

Picnic, of course, doesn’t stop at lectures and presentations, because afterwards a party will ensue with DJ’s Zelda&Ela.
