The eleventh generation of AcademIAA has not even entered the classrooms yet, and it has already set a record. The educational program organized by IAA Serbia (International Advertising Association) recorded the highest number of applicants since the program was launched in 2016.
Following the closure of applications, the process has entered the second round of selection. Candidates who met the application criteria are now completing an assignment and presenting it to the committee, after which a generation of up to 40 participants will be formed. The two-stage selection process is intended to identify the best candidates and create a group that will learn, exchange experiences and work together throughout the program.
AcademIAA is part of the activities of IAA Serbia, which operates within the global International Advertising Association network. The program is aimed at young professionals, providing them with a broader view of the industry and practical knowledge applicable in everyday work through different perspectives on marketing, communications and advertising.
This year’s edition is accompanied by the question It is easy to work in marketing today. But do you really want to understand it?, while the program is also expanding its content with a new Production module. It joins the existing Creativity, Business, Media, Digital, and Research and Analytics modules, meaning that AcademIAA now covers six areas of the industry.
Candidates in the second round are evaluated by a committee consisting of program coordinators, members of IAA Serbia, and representatives of the academic and business communities: Aleksandar Đorđević (UM / AMA Group), Danijela Milovanović (UniCredit Bank Serbia), Desanka Landauer (McDonald’s), Ivan Minić, Maja Grbović (IDEA marketi), Martin Atanasovski (The Coca-Cola Company), Milica Slijepčević (Univerzitet Metropolitan), Milica Šljivančanin (Henkel), Milja Šijakinjić (Žiška), Nataša Đurđević (ESEM Business School), Stefan Beriša (A1 Srbija), Strahinja Ćalović, Strahinja Inić (Bambi) and Tanja Bogojević (AD Imlek).
For the selected participants, the program begins on September 4 and runs until December 15. Over three months, they will have the opportunity to learn from more than 40 experts through lectures, workshops and panels, alongside coordinators from different areas of marketing.
