A record 79 projects have been applied for the sixth MIXX competition that will be held within the Days of Communication in Rovinj, Croatia, and within which prizes are awarded to the best digital campaigns and digital tools / platforms in the area of market communications. The 79 projects were applied by 25 agencies. This is 16 projects more than last year and is an excellent indicator of the success of the competition and continuous development of the industry. MIXX competition is organized according to the international license of IAB and presents awards in a total of 9 categories. According to this year’s number of applications, the categories that recorded the most registered projects are Branded Content Campaign, Social Media and Brand Awareness Campaign.
“This year’s number of applications shows that investments and creation of digital experiences are continuously growing. We have the largest number of applications since the festival exists. This is an industry with the highest growth and slowly but surely the global trends are coming to our market. Results are important to everyone, and in digital they are easy to follow, there is no room for manipulation and you very clearly know if you’ve made a good thing. Responsibility towards colleagues is great, and this year’s jury consists of a number of high-quality and experienced professionals with whom I will be pleased to cooperate in the selection of the best works. I rejoice at the opportunity to review the entire digital production last year and I hope to see intelligent solutions and creative surprises,” said the president of the Mixx jury, CEO of Studio Revolution, Vladimir Končar.
Awards are again this year divided into comprehensive campaigns and tools / platforms, and the best work with the highest average score from all categories will be awarded the Best-in-Show award. The assessment criteria include creativity, strategy, performance, use of the media and the results achieved, and all are equally important in the final assessment and selection of winners. The award itself is a confirmation of the profession that everyone included in the project, including the client, did a great job.
Jury of the MIXX competition this year is made up of professionals from all segments of the digital industry – strategy, creative, production and media buying. Members of the jury are: Hajdi Ćenan (DRAP), Boris Kovaček (Pepermint), Marko Matejčić (Bruketa&Žinić OM), Martina Jelić (McCann Zagreb), Ivana Božanić (web.burza), Ružica Vrdoljak Ličina (404), Igor Škunca (Publicisworldwide), Luka Abrus (Five), Željko Glavor (1&0), Darko Bakarić (Media Polis), Tanja Gligorović (Podravka), and the jury is presided by Vladimir Končar (Studio Revolucija).
MIXX Award winners will be announced at an awards ceremony to be held within the Days of Communication, the most important professional marketing events in Croatia, which will be held 14 to 17 April 2016 at the Hotel Lone in Rovinj.
Registration fees for participants of the Days of Communication:
For members of HURA, IAB and HUOJ, and for clients of HURA agencies, admission fee for participation in the festival, with 3 nights in a luxury hotel Lone, is HRK 2,311.00 (€302.94)*. There are also packages 5+2 and 10+5 fees with a 20% discount on accommodation at Lone**. All interested parties who decide to stay in hotel Lone will achieve a significant discount on the registration fee.
