The particularity of the WEBSI Internet Champions competition is certainly in the manner of evaluation which, in order to reach relevant and accurate assessment, in the process of judging includes Slovenian experts in digital communications, marketing and public relations. Entries will thus be evaluated by a 35-member business jury, made up of prominent business people in the field of marketing and public relations, and a 40-member expert jury, involving experts in digital commerce, representatives of major Slovenian agencies and others. The jury this year will be chaired by Aljoša Domijan (partner in enaA.com), as one of the pioneers of Slovenian digital commerce and digital business.
In addition to reinforced jury, WEBSI 2016 brings other novelties as well. The concept of the final WEBSI day is different, and will unite the Slovenian communications profession in a special way, and at the same time it will offer interesting educational content, while in the evening it will reward Internet Champions with 19 prestigious WEBSI Awards. Freshness to WEBSI is also brought by focus on young digitals: WEBSI start-up category is added to the competition program. It encourages young companies to register their digital innovations and to present them, in cooperation with the Acceleration Business City and the Initiative Start-up Slovenia, which enables start-upers special application rates.
In addition, cooperation with ABC Accelerator brings additional WEBSI ABC challenge for young people in which students, after reviewing communication activities of ABC Accelerator, must prepare proposals to improve communication with the world, and the winning proposal will be awarded a financial reward in the amount of 450 euros and the possibility of internship in the ABC. Applications for young people who are enough (too) digitally cheeky, organizers will receive via e-mails startup@websi.si and mladi@websi.si.
Applications for the competition part of the WEBSI Internet Champions are open until 20 May 2016, through the application form on www.websi.si. So far about 90 projects have already been applied!
