IT’S TIME FOR NOVELTIES IN THE ZGRAF 12 PROGRAM – FILM PROGRAM EDUZGRAF CINEMA
Zgraf 12 film program, which is set to take place on 20 January, consists of 15 visually strong and socially engaged films whose content and visual language are conceptually tied to the topic of Zgraf 12, Social Reruns.
The program is divided into four film blocks that are designed as sections: Social Nostalgia?, Visual Reflections, Living with Modernism and Social Reruns.
Eduzgraf film programme is curated in collaboration with 25 FPS Audiovisual Research Association and selected by Sanja Grbin, Marina Kožul (25 FPS) and Mihaela Richter (Eduzgraf). For 12 years, 25 FPS has been screening films in the form of a festival as a catalyst of visual and social changes. Zgraf, on the other hand, as an international graphic design and visual communications exhibition, for 12 editions gathers students, designers, theoreticians and critics with the intention of exploring design as an equally powerful tool.
Programme is divided into following four film blocks:

NEW HEAD SELECTOR FOR THE ROVINJ PHOTODAYS 2017 FESTIVAL APPOINTED
International Competition of Contemporary Photography – 10th Rovinj Photodays 2017 is underway and runs until 31 January 2017. Organizers are expecting over ten thousand works in seven contest categories: Architecture, Landscape, Portraits, Nude/Body, Fashion, Documentary Photography and Artistic Concept.
First round of judging will come in mid-February, when the national selectors choose five nominees from their country in each category separately. In the second round, the head selector, Willie Osterman, will select the finalists and winners of the 10th edition of the festival Rovinj Photodays. Three of the most successful authors in each category will be presented as part of a large traveling exhibition, in the catalog, official websites, media releases and all promotional materials of the festival.
Willie Osterman will open the big exhibition of the finalists and the winners in Rovinj on the first day of the festival on May 5, 2017. At the award ceremony on May 6th, he will announce the overall winner of the Festival – the Grand Prix winner. The winner will get a one-person exhibition during the Rovinj Photodays festival fall exhibition at Museum of Art and Crafts and a catalogue to accompany the exhibition.
Willie Osterman is Professor and Chair of Fine Art Photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, where he currently teaches, researches and is working as an active artist.
CLIO SPORTS 2017 JURORS ANNOUNCED
Clio Sports, the competition honoring creative excellence in sports marketing and advertising on an international scale announced its 2017 jury. This year’s jury consists of top names in sports marketing and business from the Global Chief Marketing Officer of Under Armour, Andrew Donkin, to the President of StubHub, Scott Cutler, to the CMO of the NFL, Dawn Hudson.
The jurors will convene between April 19 – 21 in New York City, while the winners of the fourth annual Clio Sports Awards will be announced and celebrated at an exclusive event on May 16, 2017 at Capitale in New York City. The first submission deadline is January 20, 2017.
“As an Olympic year, 2016 was huge for advertising and marketing in sports, and we’re already hearing buzz around the 2017 Super Bowl ads. We expect the competition to be incredibly steep, and needed to gather a strong field of experts to help us determine the best creative work of the past year,” said Nicole Purcell, president, Clio. “We are excited to begin the process that will honor the best campaigns and creative that have permeated pop culture and made a mark in our 2016-2017 season.”
