HDD GALLERY: CREATIVE COLLECTIVE KOMBINAT – A SHORT HISTORY OF SIDE ROADS
On Friday, 2 March 2018, at 19:00hrs, HDD Gallery will open the exhibition of the Creative Collective Kombinat, entitled Short History of Side Roads. The exhibition presents four-year work of the collective through ten different projects ranging from visual identity design, through guerrilla campaigns, to multimedia events. But it tells this story through the prism of mistakes and obstacles observed and interpreted as an inseparable part of the story about these projects, and the inevitable part of the creative process. The exhibition is part of the program line of the HDD Gallery titled Discursive Objects.
4th SOCIAL IMPACT AWARD – PROGRAM FOR YOUNG SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS
Inspired by young people driven by good ideas, the Razlivalište organization is organizing the fourth Social Impact Award program, which will start with an event on Wednesday, February 28, in the Belgrade’s StartIt Center. The Social Impact Award program brings together young innovators who have ideas, entrepreneurial spirit and initiative to make changes in their environment, but they need educational and financial support for their realization. In 2018, four prizes will be awarded, of which three are cash prizes in the amount of €1,500, and all four winning ideas will go to a seven-day conference of all Social Impact Award winners from 18 countries, held in Georgia. Entrance to the event is free and the experience of participating in this program will be shared by the last year’s winners Anja Čarapić and Arsen Arsenović. “Over the past three years, around 1,000 young people went through the Social Impact Awarding Workshops, 66 business ideas came to the competition, 21 teams participated in an intensive three-year support program, and 11 teams won financial and mentoring support. We invite all young people who want to make positive changes in society through business to join our community,” said Miloš Paunović, founder and president of the Razlivalište organization.
COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR OF VIRGIN GALACTIC COMING TO ZAGREB
Stephen Attenborough joined Virgin Galactic at the invitation of Richard Branson in 2004, as the first full-time employee of the company, with the task to establish the commercial foundations of business and create a new market for private space travel. Now he manages company’s commercial activities, including: brand management, sales, marketing, customer care, communication, education, outreach as well as partnerships in the field of private space travel.

REVIEW OF THE FINALISTS OF THE 11th GRAND PRIX IN TEN DAYS
The Croatian Public Relations Association HUOJ is organizing the Review of Finalists of the 11th Grand PRix, which will be held on 8 March 2018, at the Matis Absolut Lounge in Zagreb.
At this event, shortlisted finalists will present their project in five minute presentations. They can use all available tools and formats for presentation (ppt, video …).
Presentations can use case studies used for the entries, or new case studies that need to be delivered by Monday, 5 March, by 11.00hrs.
After the presentations, jury members may ask questions and ask for further clarifications. Presentation of projects is an act of creativity and innovation of presenters. All digital formats and presentation tools are allowed.
HUAWEI UNVEILS THREE NOVELTIES AT THE MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS IN BARCELONA
At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Huawei Business Group has announced three novelties, MateBook X Pro with Huawei FullView screen, the Huawei MediaPad M5 tablet and Huawei 5G CPE, the world’s first commercial device supporting the globally recognized 3GPP telecommunications standard for the 5G network.
“We are driven by the vision of the connected world, and to achieve that, we continuously invest into research and development to better understand the ways people communicate and connect with technology,” said Richard Yu, director of the Huawei Consumer Business Group, adding: “We set ourselves the mission to move the boundaries of what technology and innovation are currently capable of. With the new three devices we want to prove that we are able to deliver incredible devices that completely change user experience and make it better.”
Huawei MateBook X Pro and Huawei MediaPad M5 will come to the markets of China, Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East this spring, at a price of 1,500 to 1900 euros (Huawei MateBook X Pro) and 350 to 600 euros (Huawei MediaPad M5)
SNAPCHAT DOUBLES THE NUMBER OF SERIES
Snapchat has decided to double its own video series. This year they will create around 80. These will include first content updated scripts in episodes. In addition to the existing TV networks, it will also invite digital publishers to cooperation.
In mid-March, Snapchat announces the premiere of a documentary series on martial arts culture that will study martial arts styles from around the world.
According to Snap, Snapchat users view more than ten billion videos each day, and those are mostly consumer generated content. In the last quarter of 2017, Snapchat had an average of 187 million active users.
