UNICEF GENERAL PARTNER AND SPONSOR OF THE FIRST YOUNG LIONS COMPETITION IN BIH
This Friday, 02 June, Bosnia and Herzegovina will have the winners of the first edition of “Young Lions” competition for young, creative advertising professionals.
The agency Via Media, in collaboration with Cannes Lions Festivals, official partner of the Branding Conference in Sarajevo, is organizing the first Young Lions Competition BiH. This is not only an exciting competition, but also a project of socially responsible character. UNICEF, as the lead organization for the promotion of children’s rights and their protection, became involved in the project, and provided prizes for the team that will represent Bosnia and Herzegovina in the global competition in Cannes.
On this occasion, a press conference was held Tuesday in Sarajevo, to officially announce the collaboration between the Branding Conference organizers and UNICEF representatives, as well as to present the concept of the competition.
“Our intention is to provide young creatives an opportunity to learn more about children’s rights. With regard to the rules of the competition, we cannot disclose details about the theme of the competition, but what I can say is that both contest topics certainly deserve attention, and public understanding. UNICEF is working with professionals in the field of advertising and communication around the globe and very often, their ideas give us additional strength in our approach to target groups. We hope that BiH will be another example that will show that the creative industries can provide additional stimulus at raising the voice for children,” said Geeta Narayan, UNICEF Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
