LUNA\TBWA HAS EXPANDED ITS TEAM WITH NINE NEW MEMBERS

Agency Luna\TBWA has boosted its personnel in creative, user experience and project management departments.

New members have joined the team: copywriters Zala Sajko, Maruša Lekše, Medeja Kraševec and Sara Mlinar; UX/UI designers Jaka Miklič and Darko Kodrič; 3D design and technologically advanced solutions will be dealt with by Ciril Trček; and project lead department’s new members are Katja Blaznik and Urška Cerar. HOWtoWOW: SAY NO TO BORING PRESENTATIONS – FIND YOUR VOICE AND YOU’RE YOUR STORY

“People don’t buy what you do, they buy WHY you do it,” said Mark Shayler, one of the UK’s most famous speakers at the HOWtoWOW workshop. But before you start telling your story, Mark advises you take the time to analyze, and answer a few questions: why is your story relevant, what problem does it solve, and can you make it simpler?

There were further questions, different analysis and techniques of breathing, advice, laughter, and practical tasks. And was it interesting? You bet! Testimony to this are the ratings given by attendees – excellent, five! It was definitely one of those “you had to be there” workshops.

Check out the video below and see how participants worked with Mark, and if you want to look at some of the static visuals from this workshop, see the Gallery.

Don’t miss the next HOWtoWOW lecture at which one of the most influential designers of our time, Eike König in the two-day workshop will talk about the ugly design and how to change it. Save the date for November 24th and 25th – this will be another great experience!

The exhibition will be open until 28 October 2017.

RIJEKA RECEIVES “SMART” BUS STOPS – A UNIQUE SOLUTION

Citizens of Rijeka and numerous tourists as of yesterday have two smart bus stops at their disposal in this city, offering a number of features for a more efficient and comfortable experience of using city transportation. These bus stops represent the world’s technological breakthrough towards the connected smart cities of the future, and in the background of the whole story is a six-month pilot project of the City of Rijeka in partnership with Ericsson Nikola Tesla, Croatian Telecom, Smart RI, Autotrolej and Rijeka promet.

At the bus stop, passengers can check the timetable and maps of the bus stations with the current bus locations. The solution is based on the IoT principle, collecting data from Autotrolej and showing the feed from a total of 12 city cameras of Rijeka promet available through a mobile app. This app provides smart public transport, and is available for mobile phones in Rijeka for the first time, making this solution unique in the world.

Since the bus stop also serves as a hotspot, passengers waiting for transport have access to the Internet via the Croatian Telecom service, and thanks to the solar panels supplying the power and the integrated solutions of other partners, it is possible to wirelessly charge smart phones, laptops and other electronic devices. NEW, DRASTICALLY CHANGED WHATSAPP IS COMING

24 Sata: LunaTBWA bogatija za devet članova; HOWtoWOW kaže „Ne dosadnim prezentacijama“; HDD organizira izložbu dizajna indie videoigara...

Information have surfaced about some key features of the new WhatsApp that will drastically change it. The new iteration of WhatsApp should, among other things, work on fixed telephone lines, writes tportal.

Small businesses applying for use of the app will be able to run WhatsApp Business and regular WhatsApp as two completely separate apps on the same smartphone. But they will also be able to link their landline phone number to the WhatsApp Business app.

Customer and client calls and messages will come to the landline number, but users of business account will be able to receive them on their smartphone.

WhatsApp Business will have a slightly different visual identity that will differ from the standard app. It will also offer an overview of the total number of sent, received and read messages, and in foreseeable future analytics tools will be added to the app. (tportal)

PUBLICIS CREATES A NEW DATA DIVISION CALLED SPINE

24 Sata: LunaTBWA bogatija za devet članova; HOWtoWOW kaže „Ne dosadnim prezentacijama“; HDD organizira izložbu dizajna indie videoigara...

Publicis Groupe launched a new unit called Publicis Spine that will handle data assets, tech and talent across its global media network. The holding group has also extended the massive restructuring effort that started in early 2016 by effectively reclassifying DigitasLBi as a media organization.

According to the release, Spine will feature new assets including PeopleCloud, a cloud-based platform that will identify sources of client growth at an individual level, and a centralized data and analytics team made up of 3,500 engineers, analysts and strategists. Publicis appointed Lisa Donohue, former Starcom global brand president, CEO. John Sheehy, president of global clients at Publicis Media, will assume her previous role.

LIONSGATE HANDS $400 MILLION U.S. MEDIA ACCOUNT TO STARCOM

Lionsgate has appointed Publicis Groupe’s Starcom USA as its United States media agency of record, tasked with handling all media strategy and activation related to promoting its films and other entertainment properties.

It’s unclear whether the assignment will include Starz, which Lionsgate acquired for $4.4 billion last December. Lionsgate’s estimated U.S. billings are around $400 million.

The selection concludes a review managed by Medialink that included Starcom and a number of unspecified agencies. Sources familiar with the matter said the incumbent, WPP’s Mindshare, chose not to defend in the review. Mindshare had handled Lionsgate’s media account since taking over for Initiative in February of 2013.
