JOVAN STOJANOVIĆ IS THE NEW PRESIDENT OF IAA SERBIAN CHAPTER
The regular election assembly of the Serbian Chapter of IAA was held on 27 June at the Radisson Blu Old Mill Hotel in Belgrade. Jovan Stojanovic, Managing Director at Direct Media was elected President of the Association. He replaced Miloš Simić who held this post over the previous four years. Katarina Šibalić, Marketing Director of Strauss Adriatic, was selected as the Vice President from among the advertisers, while Sanja Pešić, the CEO of Alma Quattro, was elected Vice President from the ranks of the media.
Other members of the Board are su Marijana Agić Molnar (GfK Beograd), Nebojša Babić (Orange Studio), Vana Henriksen (United Group – SBB), Slobodan Srećković (Imlek), Milica Stefanović (Coca-Cola), Vanda Kučera (I&F McCann Grupa), Miloš Simić (Gaming 1), Anđelko Trpković (Publicis One), Ivan Savić (Philip Morris Services) and Žarko Sakan (New Moment New Ideas Company)
Members of the Association were presented with a report on work that included activities in the past two years, with an emphasis on the two most important projects – the Effie Festival and the AcademIAA program. The Assembly also accepted the proposal of the new Statute of IAA Serbia. The new Board will lead the Association until June 2019.
FIRST INSTAGRAM WORKSHOP IN BIH
Hana Hadžiavdagić Tabaković, whose Instagram profile counts over 220,000 followers, will lead the first workshop on Instagram in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She will share experiences with workshop participants and demonstrate how to create a brand of yourself or your product / service and increase the number of followers on one of the most popular social networks in the world.
Instagram was primarily created for entertainment, but advertisers quickly realized how powerful a promotion and sales tool it is when working with influencers. There are more and more companies that promote their products and services through Instagram. In this way, companies are sure that the information about their brand has been seen by a particular target group. EXHIBITION SECOND MEMORY TO BE HOSTED AT THE CENTER FOR CULTURAL DECONTAMINATION IN BELGRADE
On Monday, 3 July 2017, at 20:00hrs the Center for Cultural Decontamination in Belgrade will open the exhibition Second Memory, originally organized in the HDD Gallery in Zagreb in April this year.
The exhibition includes works of authors such as Ivan Benussi, Damir Bralić & Aleksandar Kovač, Barbara Blasin, Katarina Duda, Damir Gamulin, Ante Filipović Grčić, Igor Grubić, Mirko Ilić, Sanja Iveković, David Kabalin, Zlatko Kopljar, Dejan Kršić, Boris Ljubičić, MAZ, Tonka Maleković, Niko Mihaljević, Petra Milički, Negra Nigoević, Matija Raos, Vladimir Straža, studio Božesačuvaj, Saša Šimpraga, Nedjeljko Špoljar, Trio Sarajevo, Katarina Zlatec, Željko Zorica, and a number of others.
The exhibition presents the design, but also works of art that deal with culture of memory, relationship to the civilian victims of war, anti-fascism and the history of wartime violence.
FACEBOOK REACHES 2BN USERS MILESTONE
As Facebook is surpassing the two billion users milestone, its owner Mark Zuckerberg wants to give the social network the image of the “community”, thus eliminating polemics that regularly appear around the Internet giant.
“As of this morning, the Facebook community is now officially 2 billion people!” Mark Zuckerberg, co-founder of the company wrote in a post.
Facebook surpassed its first billion active users in October 2012.
Founded in 2004, Facebook has become an Internet giant and its growth is not weakening, especially thanks to ad business that represents the bulk of its revenue. Its net profit rose by more than 75 percent to $ 3 billion in the first quarter, to a turnover of eight billion, rising by 49 percent.
The company has also bought other technology companies – Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus – and moves into VR and AR realms.
