FAMOUS CROATIAN SPORTSMEN ON THE NEW RED BULL CAN

Two brothers whose success stories are shared all over the world, in just a few years conquered the field of rowing, and confirmed the old adage that without extraordinary work and discipline there are no great results.

They won European and world championships, world cups, broke world records, won the Olympic gold and climbed to 29 consecutive podiums. And after all that they decided to change the discipline, because sport demands new challenges.

And the fact that they are heroes has been proven by the fact that Martin and Valent Sinković joined a company of great athletes such as Neymar Jr., Lindsey Vonn and others, and became the first Croatian athletes whose faces are featured on a limited edition of Red Bull cans.

Why Martin and Valent are heroes, and what stands behind their globally known brand, can be found in the infographic. And their success is also presented in the film titled 10 JAKIH, which can be seen here.

APPLE STARTS PRODUCING THEIR OWN TV SERIES NEXT YEAR, WITH AN INVESTMENT OF $1BN

Apple will seriously step on the market of production of TV series next year and a billion dollar investment. Allegedly, according to the WSJ, they are planning 10 feature series that will be produced under the patronage of the duo who recently arrived to Apple from Sony Pictures – Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht. They will be in charge of the new production adventure of one of the most powerful companies in the world.

We are definitely living in times when TV content distribution has become extremely interesting and tempting, because Facebook is already “in” with its Watch program, Twitter has already announced several times that it will also join this fierce battle … The classic TV production as we knew it is increasingly transforming into a variety of new platforms. Apple, after many others, obviously estimated that there is enough room for them to jump onto this train, and knowing their power it should not come as surprise if they become one of the leading players.

How much platforms are investing in distribution of various video content may be best illustrated by Netflix, which this year invested $6 billion in original production, and next year plans to increase that figure to seven billion, Amazon’s 2018 investment will be $4.5bn, HBO will invest more than $2.5bn…

SNAPCHAT ‘WILL OVERTAKE FACEBOOK AMONG US TEENS’ THIS YEAR

Facebook’s scale may not guarantee its continued dominance, data suggests, as Snapchat looks set to overtake the dominant social network among the audience of tomorrow.

Use of Facebook among Americans aged 12 to 17 will fall 3.4% to 14.5 million this year, according to data from eMarketer – while 15.8 million in the same age group will use Snapchat.

In the 12-to-17 and 18-to-24 age brackets, Facebook’s user numbers will decline in the UK by 2.8% and 3.1%, respectively, this year, the report says.

However, longer-term growth prospects for Snapchat have now been lowered by eMarketer, which it said shows Instagram’s attempts to woo younger users with features similar to those of Snapchat are proving successful.
Meanwhile, Snapchat has now overtaken Facebook on “daily ad reach” among 13-24 year olds, the Financial Times reports.

ANDROID 8.0 OREO IS HERE

Google has announced the name of its latest version of Android with the unveiling of a statue in Manhattan that took place while the moon was eclipsing the sun.

It’s official, Oreo is the newest version of Android, Google’s mobile operating system. The updated software, which has been available for the last few months in developer beta, will arrive on devices by the end of the year.

It’s been a long guessing game about what the “O” in Android O stands for. For the uninitiated, Google names each new version of Android alphabetically and after a candy or sweet. For example, the most recent version was dubbed Nougat. Before that was Marshmallow, and before that Lollipop. Oreo will be Android 8.0, following Nougat.

APPLE USED A HIDDEN JOB AD TO SEEK OUT A ‘TALENTED ENGINEER’

A cyber-security reporter unwittingly stumbled upon a hidden job ad from Apple seeking “a talented engineer to develop a critical infrastructure component that is to be a key part of the Apple ecosystem.”

That’s according to the BBC, which says the reporter found it while reviewing data being sent from iPhone apps.

It’s unclear how this research led said reporter to the hidden page on Apple’s website, but ZDNet Security Editor Zack Whittaker also found it, tweeting a screenshot:

Cool. If you find this hidden Apple page, you’re offered a job! pic.twitter.com/IgEpReKUS3
