GRUESOME IMAGES FROM CIGARETTE PACKS ARE SOON COMING TO SOME OTHER PRODUCTS
During the European Journalists’ Congress, held in Vienna from May 21 to 23, in addition to current issues related to the journalistic profession, on the sidelines of the conference a not too promising future was presented that awaits certain brands in the sector of food and beverages.
After cigarettes, sugary foods and drinks might find themselves under fire from strict regulations, and of course, alcohol. The new ordnance is already partially in application, so for example in Kenya, since 2012, all alcoholic beverages must have 30 percent of the text with health warnings, and in Uzbekistan as of last year 40 percent of the text.
So one could find out that the photos that today “adorn” a pack of cigarettes in the near future might be coming to some other products, and one of the sponsors made the extra effort of actually printing them.
