TV WILL REMAIN THE MOST IMPORTANT ADVERTISING CHANNEL IN 2017
Nearly half (43%) of advertising agencies in 2017 expect to increase the volume of work, while only 11 percent think there will be less work. This was found in the research conducted in the last quarter of last year by the US agency for media buying Strata.
In line with the expected increase in the volume of business, 42% of agencies anticipate the need for additional staff next year, and none of the participants in the survey are planning staff cuts. Among the biggest challenges identified by the advertising agencies is the increase in the number of advertising channels. About 22% of agencies will put more energy into choosing the right media mix.
Compared to the last quarter of 2016, advertisers will pay most attention to video content, whereby about 34% of advertisers still include TV among the most important channels. For the first time digital video ads climbed to the second place, as 27% of agencies will devote most attention to it, which is a 79% increase over last year.
