9th IAB ACADEMY IS TAKING PLACE TODAY IN LJUBLJANA

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will significantly affect the area of digital marketing and market communications. May 25 is around the corner, and for some time now concrete recommendations and practical guidelines have been developed in practice.

How best to tackle business adaptation to GDPR? This will be discussed over examples of good user practice at the 9th IAB Academy, which will be held on the premises of the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia (GZS) on Tuesday, March 6, from 13.00 to 16.00 hrs.

Peter Hinssen is one of the keenest and most charismatic visionaries in the field of innovation, management and influence of digitalization on society and business. He is trusted by companies such as Apple, Google, Forbes, PayPal, MasterCard and Microsoft, and he is also considered the true star of world renowned business conferences. He only participates in selected, mostly “across the pond” events, so it is even more impressive that we will be able to listen to him in 2018 in this part of Europe, at SEMPL.

With the books The day after tomorrow (2017), The network always wins (2014), The new normal (2010) and Business/IT Fusion (2008) he has made a name for himself as an acknowledged author. He describes trends that will strongly affect business, society and the individual, and gives advice on how to prepare for changes and continue winning in the future.

This Thursday, March 8th, at 20:00hrs, Croatian Association of Interdisciplinary Artists – HUIU in Pula will host the exhibition of visual communications designer Boris Ljubičić under the title Singularity of Plural – Symbol, Sign, Logo, Brand, jointly organized by HUIU and the Croatian Designers’ Association – HDD. The exhibition was originally produced within the program line of HDD Gallery Designing History – History of Design and was initially held in HDD in January and February this year. The curator of the exhibition is Marko Golub.

INVITATION TO ARTISTS TO APPLY FOR THE NIGHT OF PERFORMANCES

The Domino organization invites artists to participate in the Night of Performances within the Perforacije Festival 2018, with separate programs in Zagreb, Rijeka, Osijek, Zadar, Split, Dubrovnik and Koprivnica. Artists from Croatia and the region are eligible to apply to this invitation.

The deadline for applications is April 5, 2018. Night of Performances is a site-specific event within which the Perforacije Festival invites artists to present installations, experiments with light / sound / movement, various spatial interventions, participative methods with the audience, etc. Up to now many performers and artists appeared at the Night of Performances, including Siniša Labrović, Ivica Buljan, Oliver Frljić, Slaven Tolj, Željko Zorica, Room 100, Ivan Marušić Klif, Grupa ABS, Alen and Nenad Sinkauz and many others.

APPLE IS OPENING SPECIAL CLINICS FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES

This spring Apple is opening a number of health clinics for its employees and members of their families. The announcement of the so-called AC Wellness Centers has gone without a great deal of media buzz, with just the publishing of the website www.acwellness.com, which provides details on the reasons for opening the health center, and a list of doctors, or jobs, including primary health care practitioners, trainers and experts for laboratory analyzes. It was also published on LinkedIn that in five months time some of the experts at Standford Health Cente  will be associated with the AC Wellness clinics.

Apple is looking for professionals for workplaces that are directly associated with healthcare, who will focus on preventive health care and encourage healthier behaviors. These experts are called population health designer and clinical program design lead.
