Here’s what we’ll learn from her at #DRIVE2018:
Drive: What are you preparing for the Drive Conference?
Karin: I really look forward to the Drive conference. I will talk about hiring and why it is very important to proactively work on the culture of your company. I will share some of the latest neuroscience research as well as the latest statistics on hiring for the region. You will be inspired and empowered after this presentation!
Attending the Drive Conference is a great way to get informed on what works, to get inspiration and to gain practical tools you can apply at your workplace. You need to have an open mind, you shoud have the desire to learn and be excited because you will connect with others.
Drive: How important is it to have satisfied employees?
Karin: Happy employees are usually more productive at work. And when we look at engagement, it’s even more than that. It’s about reaching your full potential. I believe that every person has a special gift and talent to show to the world, and they do that best at work, where else. But first you have to discover it, then find the right job for yourself. How to be the best you can be at your job, and have a positive impact on your team?
Drive: How does one succeed in engaging employees?
Karin: Engagement is a two-way street for me. Companies must work to create an incredible culture that people will want to contribute to and be part of. Employees also have to take responsibility for their own engagement by focusing their best and most creative capabilities on the job. When you have that intent, you can inspire others and work with them to create a great workplace.
Drive: Many people are leaders, or at least they call themselves that, but how does one become a good leader?
Karin: When it comes to leadership, I’ve learned that trust is the basic foundation of a good leader. When people trust you, they follow you. What can you do to increase that level of trust? I will share some of the latest neuroscience studies to empower people and so they learn what kind of impact they have on others. Know that it is important to inspire others, and when they trust you, they’ll be happy to start achieving the goals.
Drive: What is your personal life motto?
Karin: The purpose of my life is to bring joy to the world, and the purpose of my company Evoloshen is to bring joy to the workplace. Joy is a combination of happiness and love. And yes, we must have employees who love their job – that’s the key to a happy working environment.
Drive: If you could be any leader in history, who would you be?
Karin: Someone who always inspired me in terms of leadership is Mahatma Gandhi. He had the ability to move the entire state into a peaceful, non-violent way that changed the course of history. I think the world needs more such leaders. Be the change you want to see in the world!
Drive: Why people shouldn’t miss out on this year’s Drive Conference?
Karin: This year’s Drive Conference will be very inspirational! I look forward to connecting with people from the region and sharing empowering information that can be applied at workplace. Of course, connecting and meeting with other leaders is always good at such conferences. Connecting with many engaged people who are willing to positively influence their business gives me energy and I hope to meet many great people at the conference!
