Diary of a Methuselah #93: The Book Hotel Yugoslavia has started living its life

I wanted to meet with friends who give us great support. On Friday I scheduled a lunch at the Writers’ Club (Klub književnika), where I invited Srđan Šaper (I&F McCann), Miša Lukić (Publicis One), Jadranka Drinić (Direct Media), Ivan Stanković (Communis DDB) and Žarko Sakan (New Moment New Ideas Company). Although the holiday fuss has filled out almost all the terms in their agendas, all of them responded to my invitation. We spent two and a half hours in a great atmosphere and pleasant conversation. First we raised a toast to the awards we received the night before at the UEPS’ annual award ceremony for creativity in advertising. New Moment was proclaimed the Agency of the Year, Publicis One’s clients received 15 awards for the entered works, McCann won 11 and Direct Media two awards. In addition to personally handing three of the aforementioned awards, I myself also received one. UEPS has given special recognition to Media Marketing for continuous monitoring of the work of the Association, professional reporting and very correct mutual communication. With great pleasure I wrote the inscriptions for my guests and handed them a copy of the book each. I thanked them for their cooperation and expressed my conviction that our cooperation will continue to develop successfully. It was very important for me to hear their comments on the portal’s content, and their suggestions so that we could improve it. The rest that we discussed will remain among us.
