EPICA Has Spoken: The Region Is in the Global Game

EPICA Awards, a global creative accolade judged by industry journalists, once again reveals where the region stands when decisions are made without agency or client interests. While the rest of the world remains under embargo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia are already celebrating ideas that have earned recognition.

The EPICA Awards epilogue always arrives quietly. There is no confetti, no superficial shine, but there is that subtle confirmation that ideas of true value are globally relevant. EPICA is a global creative award whose winners are recognised by journalists and editors from around the world, precisely because this jury, made up of professional commentators and chroniclers of the industry, is considered the most objective judge of creativity, free from internal agency or client bias.

Industry professionals know this. EPICA is read as a signal: where the industry is heading and which works have genuinely left a mark. For those who want to follow that signal in real time, the EPICA Awards ceremony can be watched live via the official livestream.

While the rest of the results remain under embargo, attention naturally turns to our part of the world, the one that has already written its chapter among the winners.

Bosnia and Herzegovina arrives with Via Media and the campaign “It’s Time to Stop” for Bingo Group, awarded Bronze in the Public Relations category. The simplicity of this idea is not its weakness, but its strength: the campaign is precise, socially engaged, and clearly articulated. It is precisely this kind of work, free of excess rhetoric, that earned recognition from a global jury that understands the essence of communication.

Slovenia makes a strong showing this year. Mastercard Slovenia and Povem, with the initiative “Signs of Inclusion” won Silver in Financial Services and Bronze in Public Interest – Social Advocacy. Two awards for a single idea across two different categories speak louder than any press release. It is an example of communication that is both strategic and socially relevant, exactly the kind of capability recognised by journalists tracking global trends.

Viewed together, these results do not require special labels. That is precisely their strength. Bosnia and Herzegovina comes with an idea that touches a social nerve; Slovenia with a project that demonstrates system-level maturity. Two different approaches, yet a shared global context valued by professionals across all continents.

For the EPICA Awards, this is a familiar picture: small markets with big ideas, major themes told without unnecessary noise. And for our region, it is a clear reminder that relevance is not built on market size, but on clarity of stance and ideas that resonate beyond local borders.

Those reading the results tonight already know this. The rest will see it very soon.
