This year’s edition of Effie Awards Croatia has recorded the highest number of entries since the competition was launched seventeen years ago. According to available data, the number of submitted projects increased by 30 percent compared to last year, setting a new record for the competition.
The growing interest in Effie Awards Croatia comes at a time when measurable campaign performance is becoming an increasingly important priority within the communications industry. Unlike many creative awards, Effie focuses on projects that demonstrate not only creativity but also tangible market impact – the ability of a communication strategy to deliver real business results.
An overview of submissions also reveals several trends in the structure of categories. The highest number of entries this year comes from the categories Long-Term Effectiveness, Positive Change: Social Good, and Beverages, followed closely by the new category Product / Service Launch. This distribution suggests that the industry is increasingly focused on long-term communication effects, the social impact of brands, and successful launches of new products and services.
The introduction of the Product / Service Launch category further reflects changes in marketing communications practice, where a growing number of campaigns are built around strategically important market moments such as the introduction of new products and services.
Following the closing of submissions, the evaluation process will begin, conducted in two rounds. An expert jury composed of marketing, advertising, and communications professionals will review the projects, select finalists, and identify campaigns that successfully combine creative ideas with measurable business results.
The winners of Effie Awards Croatia will be announced at the Dani komunikacija festival, which will take place in Rovinj from May 7 to May 10. Each year, the festival gathers leading representatives of the regional communications industry and presents a programme dedicated to trends, strategies, and examples of effective campaigns.
