As part of this year’s edition of PRO PR Conference, one of the key regional gatherings of the communications industry, a cooperation agreement was signed with the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), the oldest and one of the most influential professional bodies in the field of public relations.
The agreement was signed by Danijel Koletić, founder of PRO PR Conference and director of Apriori World, and Sukhjit Grewal, Director of Commercial Operations and Membership at CIPR. Through this partnership, Koletić has also been appointed CIPR Ambassador for Southeast Europe, giving the region a direct link to global standards and practices in the communications industry.
It is an organisation operating under a Royal Charter and bringing together more than 11,500 members worldwide, with a focus on the development of professional standards, education, and ethical principles in communications. These elements are becoming increasingly relevant in the context of an industry rapidly transforming under the influence of technology, regulation, and shifts in audience trust.
The new partnership opens the possibility for professionals from the region to more easily access internationally recognised education and certifications, while also enabling local practice to align more strongly with global industry frameworks.
“We live in very challenging times in which more forms of online education are available than ever before. Still, it is a great honour to be among the first to receive the title of CIPR Ambassador. Throughout my career, I have always been closely connected to the public relations industry. I do not strive for perfection, but I am guided by strong ethical principles in business. This agreement will also enable many colleagues to obtain international certification for the first time,” said Danijel Koletić.
At a time when the industry is increasingly balancing between speed, technology, and credibility, moves like this signal a broader shift in focus – from operational communication toward professionalisation, standards, and the long-term value of the profession.
