Meet the latest BalCannes finalists: Dresses with pockets (McCann Skopje) and Erasing indoctrination for the next generation (Divea Studio)

In February we bring you a daily dose of BalCannes finalists in alphabetical order – and the best among them are to win awards at DK2024!

Join us on our (advertising) journey throughout the region! The expert juries of the regional creativity competition BalCannes have selected the most creative projects and granted them the finalist status!

And who are the lucky finalists? From 1 February, Monday to Friday,  two finalists will be showcased daily on the portal Media Marketing & BalCannes Facebook page – until the end of February! Online formats allow us to transcend borders and connect daily, which is why BalCannes showcase takes place in the social media sphere – until we meet in person at DK2024 to celebrate the best of the best. Keep in mind that the finalists are posted in the alphabetical order of the case title, so make sure not to miss out on daily updates.

CASE TITLE: Dresses with pockets | ENTRANT: McCann Skopje | CLIENT: Halkbank AD Skopje | COUNTRY: North Macedonia | CATEGORY: Finance and Insurance; Community Care

CASE SUMMARY:

Dresses with pockets – a campaign that instantly became viral on social media. A small fashion detail transformed into a powerful tool for positive change has put Halkbank & Mastercard high on the top-of-mind awareness amongst people. Recognizing the need for financial freedom and pockets as a symbol, Halkbank & Mastercard launched a special banking product for women entrepreneurs that empowers them to act in a bolder fashion. After the campaign, the number of women in the total client portfolio has increased by 15% and the number of women applying for other Halkbank products grew by 43%.

CASE TITLE: Erasing indoctrination for the next generation | ENTRANT: Divea Studio | CLIENT: Cannabis Museum Zagreb| COUNTRY: Croatia | CATEGORY: Tourism, Culture and Leisure

CASE SUMMARY:

The Cannabis Museum in Zagreb has achieved global recognition as the most awarded cannabis museum in the world, having secured three prestigious Clio Awards, where we outshone US and Canadian projects in the cannabis industry, with multimillion-dollar budgets. Moreover, it holds the distinction of being the best-rated museum in the entire city of Zagreb according to Google reviews. As one of the few of its kind worldwide, this museum enriches Zagreb's tourism offerings with a unique and enlightening experience. These, along with the online reviews, play a crucial role in attracting visitors, especially given the restrictions on advertising in this industry.

Congratulations to all the finalists! The best among them will be celebrated at the awards gala at the newest edition of the DK Festival which takes place 11– 14 April 2024. See you in Rovinj!
