This morning we talked with Vlatko Dimovski, Chief Operating Officer of McCann Adriatic (Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania) about his impressions of 2015 and predictions for 2016.

MEDIA MARKETING: What was 2015 like for the agencies that you lead at the regional level?

VLADIMIR DIMOVSKI: The year 2015 was one of the “calmer years”, if such even exist in our turbulent business. My mission, which includes running the business of the creative agencies in four markets (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro and Albania), is to work with the individual managers to better consolidate operations, and work on more efficient regional organization of the creative agencies. We have employed new colleagues and refreshed our teams. We set the foundations for further development in several segments in the coming year. We developed and launched many new initiatives that I believe will bring us a successful 2016. We are pleased that we have achieved the goals that we set at the end of 2014 and got what we expected.

MEDIA MARKETING: What will you remember 2015 for?

VLADIMIR DIMOVSKI: I will remember it for the “tours” in the region, on the routes Skopje – Belgrade – Sarajevo – Tirana – Podgorica and vice versa, sometimes by plane, sometimes by car. It was hard, but also very interesting. I met many wonderful and creative people, made some new friends in the region, and experienced a lot of things. I was more or less familiar with the situation in all our markets even before, but now I have gained a lot more info and I can say that there is great potential. Our task is to find the mechanisms to activate it. I’ve been living in Belgrade for four months already. It’s a city that repeatedly amazes you and which I’m still getting to know. Of course I miss Skopje, but this is easier and more efficient.

MEDIA MARKETING: What do you expect from 2016? What are your plans?

VLADIMIR DIMOVSKI: It’s difficult to make any predictions, but what is certain is that there will be challenges that I believe we are more than ready for. Our goal is to successfully finish what we’ve started. We expect a new energy that will lead to even better business results. I hope the joy of creativity and the enthusiasm in our business will flourish.
