My favourite childhood dream?
I always missed that one Lego brick of the right colour. I dreamt of unlimited resources of white Legos. Those were always scarce.
What I dreamt of when I was entering the world of advertising?
I actually started in design. I like to believe it is more current today than ever. We solve business problems by communicating. And communication is most efficient through first-hand experience. We communicate by action, not just by talking. We design experiences. 133 years of Croatia Insurance is a good example of such an approach.
What I dream of today?
That each morning the project lead, creative director, and PR guy together with PPC watch their campaign work, and pull tactical moves depending on the reactions of the targeted audience. Such a model of work is far more exciting and efficient than the still predominant, fragmented model where information travels slowly between creative, PR, media, digital agencies and advertisers. There are examples of true integration, but they are more of an exception than a rule. It seems simple, but in organizational and economic terms the challenges are great.
Which dream led me to where I am today?
I wasn’t brought here by dream, but by persistence. Too bad I’m not more persistent.
Do I dream more awake or asleep?
Mostly at dawn ☺
Are there any dreams I gave up on and why?
Yes, I gave up on dreams of unlimited resources. Limitations define us. They make life interesting.
