In 2016, I will not accept briefs just before holidays, especially if the deadline for the presentation is immediately after the holidays.
I will not work for free, believing that we will get larger projects when we build trust.
I will no longer be a bank for clients, and will pay suppliers only when we receive payment from the client.
I will have signed contracts with all clients.
I will no longer sign contracts agreeing to the possibility of a complete revision of the agency’s business practice.
I will reject unclear briefs and will demand detailed instructions, and in the case of a change of brief during the creative process, I will charge additionally.
I will work only with clients who have a director of marketing with clearly defined tasks, responsibilities and powers and who is the sole decision maker on our work.
I will no longer participate in tenders in which there is no financial compensation for participating agencies.
I will not work for reduced fees, pressure my staff with such work or rescue client profits with unpaid overtime.
Ah, yes, I will be nicer to my associates, I’ll be patient in traffic, considerate at home, I’ll eat healthy and I’ll eat less. I will not curse and grumble while driving.
I will firmly adhere to all my resolutions – if not this year, then certainly from 2017 onwards.
