The Golden Drum Festival is once again hosting their annual Young Drummers Competition, open to creatives under the age of 30. The contest provides participants with an opportunity to showcase their skills and creativity on an international stage, while gaining visibility among industry professionals. Recognized as a valuable entry point into the field, it serves both as a platform for recognition and as a potential springboard for career development.
The deadline for the Young Drummers Competition has now been extended to 22 September 2025, giving young creatives a few extra days to perfect their ideas and finalize their entries. The winner will receive a cash prize of €1,000 and a full pass to the Golden Drum Festival, offering valuable exposure and networking opportunities.
This year’s creative brief for Mastercard Slovenia challenges young talents to design a poster or a series of up to three posters on the theme “Jump into a World Where Everyone Belongs.” This builds on Mastercard’s long-standing support of sport and its role as a partner of the Ski Flying World Cup in Planica. The goal is to connect the energy of ski jumping, one of Europe’s top sports, with Mastercard’s brand values, creating visuals that celebrate Planica as a place where passion unites people and everyone can feel at home.
The president of the jury for this year’s Young Drummers Competition is Alexis Champa, Freelance Executive Creative Director. She will be joined by Jessica Claar, Senior Vice President Marketing Communications at Mastercard Central Europe; Bianca Geater, Design Director at Dentsu Dubai; Viktor Shkurba, Founder and Managing Partner of ISD Group, and Adam Zdeb, Chief Creative Officer at FCB Warsaw.
