The World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) – a global association representing more than 150 of the world’s largest brands and over 60 national advertiser associations worldwide – has appointed a new president. David Wheldon, Chief Brand Officer at Allwyn, has been named as the new President of the WFA. In his long and distinguished career, Wheldon has worked for numerous global companies such as RBS (now NatWest), Barclays, Vodafone, The Coca-Cola Company, and WPP. The role of Vice President has been entrusted to Phil Myers, Director of Institutional Affairs and Corporate Communications at Ferrero.
WFA is the only global organization that represents the shared interests of marketing professionals. It brings together the largest markets and leading marketing experts from around the world, representing approximately 90% of global spending on marketing communications – amounting to nearly 900 billion US dollars annually. The WFA advocates for responsible and effective marketing communications.
