As part of the fourth Woman.comm conference, a formal gala evening was held last night during which the prestigious Woman.comm of the Year awards were presented – recognitions that celebrate women whose work, passion, and contribution have left a visible mark on the communications industry of the region. These awards were created with the mission to promote professional role models, acknowledge strategic work in marketing, PR, media, and the creative industries, and actively support women in communications through visibility, networking, and inspiration.
The ceremony brought together communicators from across the region, partners, Woman.comm club members, and the public, to jointly celebrate the achievements of distinguished women in the field. In the presence of numerous guests, winners were announced in several categories, with the central recognition of the evening—WOMAN.COMM OF THE YEAR – SPECIAL STAR, awarded to Nataša Pavlović Bujas, a woman whose contribution to communications and industry development transcends individual projects through continuous work, education, mentorship, and the promotion of industry values. The recipient of this award will receive an exclusive trip to Paris to attend the Women’s Forum conference, sponsored by Publicis Groupe Adriatic.
Nataša Pavlović Bujas is an international communications expert, owner of the Blumen Group agency from Belgrade, organizational and personal development consultant, and president of the global International Public Relations Association (IPRA) for the 2024-2025 term.
She graduated in chemistry from the University of Belgrade, but early in her career shifted toward marketing and communications, building successful projects across the region and earning international accolades such as the IPRA Golden World Award and IPRA Grand Prix. Through her longstanding work, mentorship, and visible involvement in professional organizations, Nataša has become a symbol of female strength in the communications industry.
“The Woman.Comm Of The Year Special Star award is especially meaningful to me because it comes from one woman to another. That kind of solidarity is often missing – not because I believe male colleagues don’t play a significant role, but because women bring a different dimension of good to society. It’s not enough for women that we ourselves are doing well – we always strive to ensure that those around us are doing well too. That was evident tonight, and it’s the greatest importance of this award,” Nataša said, and added:
“My entire career has been a challenge, I started working before the internet existed, so even the internet itself was a challenge, followed by mobile phones, then social media. Challenges are what we must face – by learning, progressing, and embracing them as part of life and the present. But today, the world faces different challenges, AI is the least of them; we are facing challenges on a human and societal level. There are numerous conflicts, casualties, and growing distrust, and here our role as communications professionals becomes ever more important, if we are ready to take responsibility. And AI, just like mobile phones, email, and everything else that has come with technological advancement, we will master and use in the best possible way.”
