On the occasion of the European Day of Parks, Croatian agency Bruketa&Žinić OM designed an action for the World Wildlife Fund – WWF, whose aim was to encourage citizens to ask themselves how it would be if nature wouldn’t have time for us, as we often don’t have time for her.
In the morning on 24 May, on the European Day of Parks, Zagreb’s Maksimir Park was covered with the signaling tape preventing visitors to enter it. Many citizens who regularly recreate there or who wanted to take a walk in the park were surprised. But soon, the WWF came out with the message “Nature today has no time for you”.
Polls show that when asked why they don’t recycle, the most common answer that people give is that they don’t have time for that. Excuses in which we emphasize that we have no time for nature conservation or the commitment to sustainable development are unacceptable. With this action, the WWF wanted to show how it would be when nature wouldn’t have time for us.
