Preparations for the eleventh edition of Weekend Media Festival, which has stepped into its second decade, are on the way. This year, the largest communications festival will take place from September 20th until September 23rd at the well-known location of Rovinj and its old tobacco factory. The festival will have and air of Berlin and Paris, the true meccas of urban living. This means that the partners of this year’s Weekend Media Festival are France and Germany, leading European economic forces and the capitals of multiculturality, arts, intellectualism and innovation.
Tomo Ricov, Weekend Media Festival Director stated the following: „Paris and Berlin both manage to take advantage of their diversity which is a key factor of their dynamism and constant renewal. It is exactly this coexistence of seemingly opposite ideas that has become the inspiration for the eleventh edition of the Festival “.
A part of the festival program will be dedicated to our German and French guests who will, through mutual participation at the Festival, represent a Europe that is united and intertwined. Their lectures and panels will introduce us to the best marketing, media and business practices of their countries, and take us through their modern cities of Berlin and Paris.
We will peek into the lives of modern bon vivants via exhibitions and music, find Parisian charm in the most contemporary inventions and find out how punks and business men, rusty bicycles and German luxury cars, renowned painters and graffiti artist – coexist and feel welcome at the same time.
„Berlin and Paris have always been known as cities of freedom for the people whose personality and way of thinking come out of society‘s limits. It is exactly why we also try and gather these people, the visionaries of our industries, right here at the Festival. We are very pleased that this year‘s partners represent and stimulate diversity and creative thinking. I‘m pretty sure we will have much to learn from each other “, stated Nikola Vrdoljak, Weekend Media Festival Program Director.
The preparations for the eleventh edition of Weekend Media Festival are in full swing. Early bird registrations are already on sale and can be purchased for an extremely low price of 1200 kunas until May 1st. Advertising agencies can also apply their projects for the seventh BalCannes revue, and we will also see the region’s best digital works at SoMo Borac.
Not only is Weekend Media Festival known for its constructive, and sometimes provocative discussions on trends in the communication industry, it is also known for the best parties. This year the music program will be just as diverse, and you can expect standard long and exciting nights.
