Top-tier speakers, relevant content, and invaluable insights await us in mid-May at the Days of Communication in Rovinj. Speakers for the main hall (Hall AAA) have already been announced, and the full schedule is now available, including the remaining four festival stages: Hall BEE, DK LLLounge, and the new POOLSIDE and THE OTHER BEACH stages. Participants will once again be able to engage in interactive discussions and conversations covering all areas of the communications industry. Below, we highlight some of the key digital topics.

IAB CROATIA’S ONLINE MEDIA ADVERTISING EXPENDITURE (ADEX) REPORT

Following the official data release, IAB Croatia will present the latest edition of its Online Media AdEx Report at the festival – the fourth analysis of online media investments in Croatia for 2024, along with projections for 2025, based on IAB standards. In a special program segment, experts from IAB Croatia’s Online Media AdEx working group will present key insights and trends shaping the digital media landscape: Vjekoslav Srednoselec (Growth Officer, dentsu Southeast Europe), Boris Zatezalo (Business Development Manager, Aleph), Marijan Mihić (Head of Digital Department, Advans Adria), joined by Iva Vukmanić (Strategy, Media, and Innovation Manager, HEINEKEN Croatia), with the conversation moderated by Matej Sever (Product Manager Audience Measurement, Ipsos). This insight into digital media investment and spending data will serve as a valuable tool for better planning and understanding of this rapidly changing market.

ON INFLUENCER MARKETING BY IAB CROATIA: IS YOUR FEED A LIE?

Influencer marketing has reached a point where promotional messages have become nearly indistinguishable – lacking clear indications that the content is sponsored. Authenticity is increasingly replaced by carefully constructed narratives with a clear sales objective, and in Croatia, this area still lacks sufficient regulation. IAB Croatia, through its (Self-)Regulation Hub, is actively working to raise ethical standards in influencer marketing. This topic will be discussed with moderator Sandra Babić (editor, journalist, and new product development lead at Lider Media) by Mario Fraculj (Head of the Department of Economics, Algebra Bernays University and court expert in marketing and market communication), Dario Marčac (Founder, Crew), and Marin Katušić (Monetization Director, Index Promocija).

VOX POPULI: PREDICTIONS & TRENDSPOTTING

No sugarcoating and no crystal balls – we dive straight into the trends around the corner: from AI hysteria and the end of cookies to the explosion of new media formats and the eternal quest for the next big thing. Sharing their predictions and unfiltered insights will be Nikola Vrdoljak (Director, 404 / Partner, Myty Group), Nebojša Grbačić (Co-founder, (re)creative director, Cvoke), and Krešimir Macan (new podcaster and communications consultant, Špica s Macanom), with the talk moderated by Dunja Ivana Ballon (Director of HURA, IAB Croatia, and the Days of Communication). Expect honest answers, bold opinions, and a format where everything is allowed – except indecision.

IAB CROATIA’S PPP: THE DECADE WE LEARNED THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS ONLINE PRIVACY powered by OŽUJSKO PIVO

Do you remember when we thought our data was private? How is the development of AI tools changing our perception of privacy – and have we simply accepted surveillance as the price for the free content we enjoy? This shift in understanding privacy in the digital age will be the focus of a relaxed, unfiltered discussion led by Mario Frančešević (Founder/CEO, SeekandHit), Saša Milinović (Digital Director, OMD), Marko Mikeš (Client Solution Manager Lead, Aleph), Sonja Stahor Gašpar (Director of Digital Business, JGL), Tihana Ana Reljić (Partner Lawyer, REZIME Law Firm), and Zoran Savin (CEO, IAB Slovenia).

IS BIGGER BETTER? II BY IAB CROATIA

In the world of large companies, communication is more than just delivering a message – it’s a strategic endeavor requiring a balance of budget, reach, and both internal and external communication. Is Bigger Better? II by IAB Croatia explores whether the old saying “bigger is better” holds true when it comes to communication in large systems. Sharing their experiences and perspectives will be Marija Franić (Head of Corporate Communications, Kaufland), Ema Huskić (Marketing Lead, Mastercard), Tamara Karagity (Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing, INA Group), and David Flam (Marketing Director, Maistra Hospitality Group), in a conversation moderated by Ivana Krajinović (Director, Večernji list).

In addition to these topics, many program segments will address creativity, artificial intelligence, and business, as well as a variety of issues of great importance to the communications industry. These include PPP: Pitch Me If You Can – Guide to Fair & Smart Agency Selection powered by Ožujsko pivo, On Influencer Marketing by IAB Croatia: Is Your Feed a Lie?, The Experience Economy: Events as the Frontline of Brand Experience, Why Your Business Needs a Gamer’s Mindset by Game Changer, and more.

Let us remind you that alongside this excellent domestic program, a lineup of leading global experts in creativity, digital, design, user attention, pitching, artificial intelligence, and more has also been announced.
Anyone who wants to be part of this unique experience from May 15 to 18 in Rovinj can find more information on participation at www.danikomunikacija.com.
