UEPS Award Ceremony for 2018 held in Belgrade

UEPS Award Ceremony 2018 was held last night in Belgrade, amid the traditional Days of UEPS. Like every year before, a lot of new, original and unique projects were singled out from a large number of entries and awarded with the prestigious award. This year the jury awarded 16 gold, 23 silver and 24 bronze awards in 17 regular categories and 21 sub-categories, as well as eight special prizes.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Board President of UEPS, Viktor Nikolić, CEO of Beoexpo System, summarized the association’s activities during the year. He pointed out that the results achieved were made possible by the positive synergy of all in the Steering Board members and the Association.

The agency of the year at this year’s UEPS was Ovation BBDO, advertiser of the year was Jaffa d.o.o., and their joint project Munchmalow – a story in itself won this year’s Grand Prix. The special award, Dragan Sakan New Idea for 2018, was awarded to the campaign #Unwanted, by agencies McCann Beograd, McCann Podgorica and UM Podgorica.

Veljko Golubović, vice chairman of the jury, spoke on behalf of the jury: “The jury had the opportunity to look at an impressive number of works, which is in favor of the stability of the Serbian advertising scene, which, despite many unfavorable factors, continues to show the strength and energy to create quality market communications. Like every year, a lot of new, original and unique features have been singled out from a large number of entries. I’m sure this year’s Jury recognized it and rewarded it in the right way. Were there enough good works? I think that there were more of them than we could have expected.“
