The best projects in the field of sponsorships and marketing in sports were once again awarded at the SPORTO conference in collaboration with the Mediana agency.
In the category of The Best Sports Sponsorship, winner was the Gorenje Simplyfans project, which included Gorenje as a sponsor, the holders of rights EHF Marketing and Infront Sports & Media AG, and Gorenje as the applicant. Gorenje’s #simplyfans promotional campaign brought together fans from across the Adriatic region. With special #simplyfans buses, over 700 fans from across Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina were brought together.
The Best Individual Sponsorship of an Athlete went to the project Alpsko Mleko & Superheroine Ilka. Sponsor and applicant of this project was the company Ljubljanske mlekarne, and the rights holders are Ilka Štuhec and the Olympic Committee of Slovenia. Video with Ilka’s animated character in the form of a superhero relates to the period after her injury.
The award for the Best Sporting Event went to the Tour of Slovenia 2018 project, by the sponsors Telekom Slovenije, Adria Mobil, Fiat, Krka, Hansgrohe, HSE, DEM, Tajfun, Akrapovič, Ave and Slovenian Tourism Board.
The Award for the Rights Holder went to the project “Preparations”, which was entered by the Ljubljana Marathon.
In the category of Best Digital Communication, the award went to Let’s Compete Together, sponsored by Petrol. Holder of rights in this project was the Ski Federation of Slovenia, and the applicant was Agency 101. Through the campaign Petrol called for support to skiers, through purchase of designated products on their gas stations.
The ESA Award for Innovation, Creativity and Good Practice was awarded to the BeST (Be Stronger Together) project, by sponsor and applicant Allianz Croatia, and the holder of rights was the Paralympic Committee of Croatia.
The winners were chosen by an expert jury including: Toby Hester, (Sponsorship Coach), predsjednik žirija, Fredda Hurwitz (RedPeg Marketing), Aleksandra Grahovac (Toyota Srbija), Vlatka Kamenić Jagodić (HEP), Neil Morley (Cat’s Eye), Viktorija Radojević (Mercator), Uroš Stanić (NK Rijeka), Maja Oven (BTC), Ana Šušteršič (Agencija 101) i Dijana Vetturelli (Vetturelli consulting).
The SPORTO Brands award among Slovenian male athletes this year was awarded to basketball player Luka Doncic. Award for best female athlete went to Ilka Štuhec, and among the sports clubs to NK Maribor.
SPORTO Brands of the Year awards in Croatia went to athlete Sandra Perković, football player Luka Modrić, and NK Dinamo Zagreb.
In Serbia, award for the athlete of the year went to Novak Djokovic, Ivana Španović was the female athlete of the year for the third consecutive year, and among the sports clubs award went to FK Crvena zvezda.
