The expert jury of the Slovenian Marketing Association (DMS) has selected the finalists who will compete for the 2025 Marketing Excellence Award. The winners will be announced on Thursday, May 29, in Portorož.
In Category 1 – Excellence in Comprehensive Marketing Strategy of a Company, the following have made it to the finals (finalists are listed in alphabetical order by company name):
- Atlantic Grupa with the strategy Argeta – the No. 1 meat and fish pâté in Europe,
- Petrol with the strategy The Power of Marketing – A Strategy for Success,
- Spar Slovenia with Marketing Strategy,
- Telekom Slovenije with the strategy Always Towards Better – A Marketing Strategy for the B2C Market.
The national champions in marketing, i.e., the category winners and the recipient of the main award, will be announced at the award ceremony during the Slovenian Marketing Conference, taking place on Thursday evening, May 29, in Portorož.
In Category 2 – Excellence in Sustainable Business and Social Responsibility, the finalists are:
- Steklarna Hrastnik with the project Sustainable Week: Transforming the Glass Packaging Industry,
- Telekom Slovenije with the project Let’s Enjoy Smartly – The Importance of Responsible, Moderate, and Safe Use of the Internet and Modern Technologies.
The fiercest competition was in the newest subcategory.
Category 3 – Excellence in a Marketing Project featured several subcategories:
- In the subcategory Innovation or New Development in One of the 7Ps, the finalists are:
- Atlantic Grupa with the project Argeta Meatless – No Meat, but Not Pointless,
- Petrol with the project Skip the Line! Fast Product Purchase at Petrol Points of Sale via the Petrol GO App – No Checkout Required,
- Telekom Slovenije with the project INO.LAB – From Innovation to the Smart Factory of the Future.
- In the subcategory Business Process Transformation or Optimization, the finalists are:
- Petrol with the project When the Heart Beats for the Customer – The Power of a Connected Team,
- Spar Slovenia with the project Segmented Offer,
- Telekom Slovenije with the project Game-Changing Customer Experience – Always Towards Better,
- Zavarovalnica Triglav with the project We’re All OK. We’re All Triglav.
- In the subcategory Response to Extraordinary Circumstances, the finalists are:
- Atlantic Grupa with the project Argeta Junior,
- Petrol with the project Petrol Ambassadors – Stronger Than Ads: Marketing that Speaks Through People,
- Zavarovalnica Triglav with the project Does Risk Live at Your Address?
- In the new subcategory Strategic Partnership, the finalists are:
- Atlantic Grupa with the project The Good Side of Sport,
- Steklarna Hrastnik with the project A Toast to a Sustainable Tomorrow – Strategic Partnership Between JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs and Steklarna Hrastnik,
- Telekom Slovenije with the partnership E-Care at Home,
- Zavarovalnica Triglav with the project Micromobility Coexistence.
Janko Hočevar (Aragon), Jury President, stated:
“I was pleasantly surprised by the entries. They were of very high quality, and the progress in the profession is clearly evident. The knowledge and determination within Slovenian marketing are obvious.”
