On Saturday, September 15, 2018, the second TEDxMokrin was held in Mokrin House, with the topic “The Future Exists“, and nine speakers addressed the audience.
The way we live is drastically changing with ever-greater technology development. Speakers at this year’s TEDxMokrin presented their angles on what changes we can expect in the long-run, and how our everyday lives will be different in the future.
Boris Šurija, psychologist and founder of the company Behave, which measures and monitors the influences of human behavior, was the first to address the audience, followed by Danijela Grubnić, coordinator of educational programs within Belgrade’s Open School, who spoke about the future of education.
The third speaker was the highly acclaimed designer Slavimir Stojanović Futro, who made a review of his career and presented what will be crucial in the future of design. After that, Uroš Živković, the founder of Gastro Balkans, talked about the way food will be consumed and produced, and then Jelena Blagojev, a defectologist and humanist, presented her vision of what is waiting for us in the field of humanity.
Uroš Krčadinac, a computer science professor, spoke about the language and value of the words on the Internet, after which Katarina Popovic, artist and researcher, opened the topic of empathy and ethics in our robotic future. The audience was then addressed by Habib Lešević, speaker and founder of Berlin’s J2C agency, and Branimir Rakić, co-founder and technical director of OriginTrail, who presented the future of digital trust.
The breaks featured the clips from TED talks from different parts of the world, and the audience had the opportunity to enjoy the ambiance of the Mokrin House, which has hosted this event for the second consecutive year.
The main sponsors were Schweppes, Smart Water and Mokrin House, and the organizers announced that they plan to realize the TEDx event next year as well, in the same place.
