Last week in Portorož, within the SPORTO conference, the Slovenian Marketing Association in cooperation with the European Sponsorship Association proclaimed the best projects in 2018 in South East Europe (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary).
Among the more than thirty entries, the award for Innovation, Creativity and Best Practice went to the Croatian project “beST – Be Stronger Together” by Allianz, which was designed and implemented in cooperation with VETTURELLI Consulting.
“For us, corporate culture is a prerequisite for employee satisfaction and efficiency, and therefore successful business. The beST project is one of our most successful internal projects as it succeeded in directly influencing improvement of corporate culture through leveraging new digital communication tools and inspirational Paralympic athletes,” said Vanja Bzik, Head of Corporate Communications at Allianz Zagreb.
Given the geographical spread of employees and Allianz sales agencies, and the potential dangers of demotivation, “beST” sought to foster mutual communication, build a sense of belonging and create the habit of using the new intranet system.
“The digital age demands innovation, agility and openness from us in our efforts to achieve the set goals, which is impossible without the proper mindset. That is why during the devising and implementation of the beST, we used the challenge-based learning approach, which experientially helped change the attitudes of employees,” added Dijana Vetturelli of the VETTURELLI Consulting.
With the award last week, the beST project was also nominated for the award of the European Sponsorship Association 2018 in the category of employee engagement, and by winning the Innovation and Creativity Award, it is directly shortlisted for the ESA Best of Europe category, whose awards will be presented February 28, 2019 in London.
