Nova TV appoints Domagoj Repač as Director of Digital

The appointment reflects continuity in development and the growing importance of digital channels.

At a time when digital channels are becoming the central battleground for audiences, as well as monetization, Nova TV is further structuring its digital segment by appointing Domagoj Repač as Director of Digital.

This is an internal promotion following several years of work within the company. Repač previously led the project management department, where he was directly involved in the development and coordination of key digital initiatives.

His professional path largely mirrors the evolution of digital media in the region. He began his career in digital marketing at Istudiju (now Degordian), before moving to Nova TV, where he took on operational and development responsibilities within the digital segment. During the expansion of online platforms, he was responsible for the communication of the SVOD platform, as well as for managing digital channels within the company’s portfolio.

As digital marketing within the company evolved into a more distinct and complex segment, his focus expanded to include the development of portals and the management of content and distribution channels. Throughout this process, he contributed to projects that received market recognition and awards, further reinforcing the importance of digital within the media system.

Since 2020, his work has increasingly shifted towards analytics, development initiatives and strategic planning, gradually leading him into managerial roles within the Digital department, including the position of Deputy Director.

In his new role, he takes on responsibility at a time when digital media are facing changes coming from beyond the industry itself – from platforms and their algorithms to the growing impact of artificial intelligence on how audiences consume content.

“The media industry, and especially online media, is going through a period of intense transformation. Major platforms and their algorithms, as well as artificial intelligence, are changing user habits but also the fundamental principles of online media. What we knew yesterday often no longer applies today. Such a dynamic environment requires constant adaptation, but it is precisely in times like these that quality and relevance stand out the most. I am confident that within Digital we have top professionals who have successfully responded, and will continue to respond, to all the challenges ahead. I am excited to be part of that team.”

The appointment of Domagoj Repač thus comes at a moment when digital is no longer just a support to television content, but a key space for the development of media brands, audience relationships and long-term growth.
