AI.Weekend is returning to Rovinj, bringing together the most important experts, innovators, and leaders in the field of artificial intelligence. This year’s edition focuses on the practical application of AI in real business and technological environments, from robotics and finance to media and digital transformation. From September 18 to 21, participants will have the opportunity to hear how AI is shaping industries today, instead of speculating about its future.
“Our goal is to show how AI works beyond experimental phases and to openly discuss the challenges and successes that come with its implementation in different sectors. We want to share with participants concrete experiences, best practices, and lessons learned during real projects. AI.Weekend provides an opportunity to connect experts so we can jointly explore a future that is already happening,” said Nikola Pavešić, Program Director of AI.Weekend, an experienced advisor and connoisseur of the regional startup and tech scene.
Practical AI Experiences and Innovations in Business Environments
At AI.Weekend, technology stops being an abstract concept and takes on the face of those who shape it daily. Valentina Zadrija has been building solutions for robotics in logistics and transport for more than two decades, from the first sketches and PoC phases to deployment in real facilities, and today she does so as Tech Lead at Yaak GmbH. Joining her on stage will be Filip Macukić, founder of Mediartem AI and former Google expert, who will demonstrate how generative AI technology can be combined with creativity and ethics. What it looks like when artificial intelligence becomes a tool of global business will be explained by Stjepan Zelić of Hypefy.ai. His AI agent enables brands to launch an entire influencer campaign with just one sentence, and he will speak to all who want to learn how artificial intelligence can maximally support marketing. But AI does not only change the businesses we see on the surface; it also transforms the financial world. On this topic will speak Daniel Jevremović, Director at Lazard, whose experience at Barclays and numerous transactions in Silicon Valley brings a unique insight into where capital, innovation, and technology intersect.
The second, financial side of the AI story, will be presented by Matej Kuhar, Head of the Data Science Department at Aircash. Kuhar combines experience in astrophysics and finance to improve transaction monitoring and personalization of user services, and he will talk about algorithmic systems that are changing financial transactions, customer relations, and regulation. Una Softić, Executive and Strategic Director of Intertangible, advises global companies on the use of the latest technologies, including AI, XR, and fintech, and leads innovation projects in an international context. Their experiences range from implementing concrete solutions to strategically shaping the future of technology.
The Future of AI in Practice
Artificial intelligence is no longer just a topic for theoretical discussions; it is shaping real business processes, creative industries, and everyday technologies. The second edition of AI.Weekend promises a rich program and unique insights into the application of artificial intelligence across various industries. More information about the program, speakers, and all additional activities of this year’s festival is available on the official website and on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook profiles.
