When we came up with the idea to organize the Cannes Lions in Sarajevo conference and started communicating with potential participants, the creative directors who have already brought Cannes Lions to the Adriatic region, we received a mail from I&F McCann Belgrade, signed by the group’s Communications Director Marija Vićić, informing us that Vladimir Dimovski and Vladimir Ćosić will definitely come. She asked me what else they could do to support the Cannes Lions in Sarajevo. In my reply, I asked whether they would like to be a Friend of Creativity, by financially supporting the organization of the conference, due to the high costs. Two days later she replied that they had arranged with their Sarajevo agency to “enroll” as a Friend of Creativity, explaining the move with the following words:
“We are very pleased to support the event Cannes Lions in Sarajevo, where visitors will be able to hear the experiences of our agencies in the creation of effective, creative, and above all, award-winning campaigns. As part of the leading regional communications system, I&F McCann Group, which brought the region’s first two Cannes Lions, to Skopje and Belgrade, I believe that in the future we can add to this collection another one, which will go to Sarajevo. By supporting the event Cannes Lions in Sarajevo, which promotes creativity, we wish to inspire everyone in the creative industry to take a step forward in every respect. I’m sure it will be interesting to our colleagues, among other things, to hear lectures and exchange experiences with Vladimir Dimovski and Vladimir Ćosić, who together with their colleagues from McCann Skopje and McCann Belgrade have won numerous other awards in addition to the Cannes Lions.”
