Lamborghini stopped the race to show the power of the new Urus

The film Urus at its Peak builds tension without a chase and turns a mountain ascent into a story about ambition that does not end when the goal is reached.

The sound of the engine, several moments of silence and a road unfolding before the car turn by turn carry much of the new film for the Urus SE Performante. Instead of proving the model’s power through a race, acceleration or an opponent, Automobili Lamborghini placed the control required to keep moving upwards at the forefront.

The film Urus at its Peak, which the brand presented with the agency Dentsu Creative Italy, follows the car as it ascends through an almost otherworldly mountain landscape. The drive is occasionally interrupted by archival images of achievements from human history, connecting the Urus’s journey with moments when pioneers, creators and visionaries refused to accept a boundary that had already been reached.

The question What is the highest you can reach? therefore does not refer only to the height the car can reach. It sets in motion a story about the need to find a new challenge after every achievement. Within this idea, the mountain summit does not serve as the final destination, but as a brief pause before the journey continues.

The film conveys this message without the usual noise of automotive campaigns. The camera lingers on the road, the vehicle’s movements and the relationship between the car and its surroundings, while archival materials appear like fragments of memory. Precisely crafted sound and the alternation between silence and the engine create an intensity that does not depend on aggressive editing.

The film was directed by Rúnar Ingi, while Indiana Production was responsible for production. It marks a continuation of the collaboration between Lamborghini and Dentsu Creative Italy, in which the character of the car is increasingly built around the broader idea of instinct, ambition and pushing one’s own limits.

“The more we work with Lamborghini, the prouder we are of what we are building together. Every new project is a chance to move the brand into a more meaningful and culturally relevant territory, without losing the power, instinct and attitude that make it unique,” said Maurizio Tozzini, Executive Creative Director at Dentsu Creative Italy.

Urus at its Peak does not attempt to surpass other automotive films through the amount of spectacle it delivers. Its idea remains clear precisely because it knows when to slow down and when to let the car take over the frame.
