Spring campaign of the Croatian Tourist Board started at full steam, with a number of advertising activities in major markets such as the UK, Italy, Germany, France, Sweden, Austria and Slovenia.
The campaign presents a touching love story of two storks, in a spot called True love returns in the spring – the story of Klepetan & Malena.
One of the most beautiful love stories in Croatia was introduced to Facebook and Twitter with an animated video of the story of Malena and Klepetan which was published on the official YouTube channel of the CTB. According to the CTB, the success of the campaign is evidenced by the nearly three million views and more than six million comments which their promotional video has already amassed.
The story also did well on Twitter, where it was seen more than 700 thousand times. The video was made in four versions, in English, German, Italian and French.
“We are very pleased with the excellent results of this mini-campaign because it’s about new ideas and contents in the promotion. The story of Malena and Klepetan is more than well-known in Croatia, and in this way we introduce it practically to the whole world. Our main objective through this unique love story was to bring Croatia even closer to all potential tourists as a desirable destination with nice stories, because tourism is the industry of emotions and experiences,” said Ratomir Ivičić, head of CTB’s Main Office.
