Kamran Elahian, a global investor in tech companies, founder of ten high-tech businesses and philanthropist is the third key speaker of the Spark.me conference. Next Monday participants will start gathering for one of the most important and most visited marketing conferences in South East Europe and beyond, Spark.me, which will be held on 29 and 30 May at the hotel Mediteran, in Budva.
Elahian is bringing to Spark.me more than three decades of experience in leading high-tech companies and is considered a veteran of the Silicon Valley. During his working life he founded 10 companies, three of which failed, while the rest of them achieved total market value of more than $8 billion. Elahian is currently on the position of President and co-founder of the international technology-oriented investment fund Global Venture Alliance, which invests in some of the most technologically advanced companies in the US, Japan, China, Israel, India and Singapore.
As a dedicated philanthropist, Elahian believes that modern information and telecommunication technologies are vital in neutralizing the barriers between nations and overcoming social and political differences between people. In 1996 this vision of his prompted the establishment of Schools Online, a charitable organization which now forms part of a global humanitarian organization Relief International, which is working on the introduction of the Internet in schools in more than 36 developing countries of the world. Elahian is also working with the governments of various countries to help them in the transition from economies dependent on fossil fuel consumption to innovative and sustainable economies.
