Eurobest, a renowned competition celebrating the most innovative creativity in Europe, has announced the list of experts who will decide on the top creative projects in Europe for 2024. The juries will gather in London at the end of November to discuss the quality of projects live, with Jelena Fiškuš, Creative Director of Studio Sonda and President of the Croatian Association of Market Communication Companies (HURA) and IAB Croatia, participating as a jury member in the Design and Industry Craft category. This invitation—marking Croatia’s first representation on the Eurobest jury – further underscores the expertise of local communicators and the competitiveness of the Croatian market at the European level.
“I remember a time when we in Croatia could only observe the Cannes or Eurobest juries from afar, as these are the European versions of the world’s most famous creativity festival. And today, we are receiving increasingly important invitations, more frequently, and we are winning more awards at these and other highly respected festivals relevant to our profession. This means that Croatia is strengthening in the field of market communications with its organization within HURA, as well as through innovative projects that can compete on the global stage. More importantly, the culture of market communication in our country and region is gradually changing,” Jelena Fiškuš remarked. “Brands, as powerful media of communication with consumers, are starting to understand what global trends have been highlighting for years . that along with business efficiency, they also bear responsibility towards society and the planet. Solutions are sought that are primarily effective but also innovative, ones that give something back to the society that consumes them and meet high aesthetic and value standards, often pushing boundaries. It will be my pleasure to represent Croatia in London, evaluating such work, the cream of the European creative scene, and I will certainly bring this valuable experience back to our market.”

A novelty in this year’s Eurobest competition season is an award for creativity in the B2B segment, celebrating innovative creativity and effectiveness in products, offerings, services, solutions, or experiences primarily targeting decision-makers conducting transactions on behalf of other businesses. Entrants will need to demonstrate both short-term tactics and long-term brand-building strategies that connect with customers, improve brand health, and ultimately drive growth.
Simon Cook, CEO of LIONS, commented on this year’s jury lineup: “We are extremely pleased to announce such an extraordinary group of talented professionals who bring immense dedication and expertise to the task ahead. Our jury members play a crucial role in setting the creative standard for Europe, and we are delighted to see a broad range of agencies, brands, and companies represented—including many joining us for the first time—which enables diverse perspectives in the judging process. We wish them the best of luck and look forward to the work that will emerge from their discussions.”
To recall, Jelena Fiškuš was selected as a jury member for the Cannes Lions festival in 2022, marking the first time a Croatian representative was invited to judge this prestigious award. Since then, other Croatian creative professionals have continued this trend. The progress of the entire Croatian communications and creative industry is reflected in an increased number of international orders, global recognition, and memberships of HURA members on juries at numerous international competitions, as well as projects and initiatives in which they participate, united within HURA.
