The Friday afternoon conference call connected more than 50 participants. HURA (The Croatian Association of Communications Agencies) listened to members’ comments and discussed all the activities and initiatives HURA has been actively involved in over the past two weeks.
All HURA’s members agreed on the contents of a memo to be sent to all the relevant institutions and bodies about measures needed to ensure the industry’s survival and a healthy economic picture. The memo’s contents come from a survey conducted by HURA of its members at the beginning of the week. Given the positive feedback and the overall situation, HURA will conduct surveys of its members several times a week to ensure our information is kept current.
The call resulted in three new working groups to focus on institutions, the profession, and good practice.
During the call Anđela Buljan Šiber, chair of the HURA board, said “We have solidarity on all sides. HURA members are constantly coming forward and offering their help. There is a constant exchange of ideas: how to help clients and examples of good practice, all of which can help under the present uncertain circumstances. The HURA team and its members have been doing everything they can to protect the marketing industry, our partners, and other market actors. Together we have drafted a memo to institutions and are in the process of creating materials that will be useful to many in and outside the industry.”
HURA’s and its members’ activities since the onset of the current unpredictable situation include: actively monitoring the situation in the industry, promoting our member agencies’ liquidity and stability with a set of solutions for use in approaching institutions and seeking measures to assist members as entrepreneurs in the communications industry: communication with clients, following the situation in Europe through continuous communication with colleagues from Europe on regulations in the industry and beyond regional borders: education and information; legal advice; sharing experiences within the Association and encouraging members to communicate via media that follow the profession.
The call ended on a positive note, sharing experiences boosting team spirit and a collective toast – as all HURA’s members agree we are stronger together.
