Homemade Cookies Believe That What We Share Is Greater Than What Divides Us

Kraš’s new Domaćica campaign reminds everyone that, despite the differences between generations, the same desire for closeness and understanding exists in all of us.

Different times and different generations bring different perspectives on the world. The term “generation gap” is well known and refers to differences in opinions between two or more generations. These differences are familiar to everyone, young and old alike, and often – especially in larger and more diverse societies – they can present both sweet challenges and struggles. How do we bridge them? Sometimes, young people find it difficult to understand the thoughts and customs of older generations, while at other times, the elderly may lack understanding for the views of younger generations.

However, differences are not necessarily a bad thing – after all, the world would be a rather dull place if everyone listened to the same music, dressed the same way, and had the same interests.

It is important to remember that, at the core, everyone shares the same desires—to love and be loved, to be happy and smile, to dream and make their dreams come true, to feel safe and supported, to have fun, and to enjoy the moment. Sometimes, these moments and feelings don’t require much; they stem from small things – a warm hug, a genuine smile, or a simple gesture like sharing a Domaćica cookie over a cup of your favorite drink.

The message that Domaćica conveys with its new campaign is that what people share is greater than what divides them. For nearly 70 years, it has been a part of family tables, witnessing generations growing up together, laughing, and sharing stories. Its recognizable shapes are infused with the symbolism of love, support, dreams, happiness, and fun for everyone – “those aged 7 and those aged 77.” Every cookie carries memories of childhood, moments of togetherness with friends and family, and those small, unplanned moments that remain in our hearts.

Kraš’s new Domaćica campaign reminds everyone that, despite generational differences, the longing for connection and understanding remains universal. Domaćica aims to inspire us all to nurture relationships, support one another, and discover the joy of sharing. Because just as generations come together over a beloved cookie, hearts connect in moments when smiles are more genuine and words are warmer.
