At the annual awards ceremony of the European Sponsorship Association, held in London, which honors the best campaigns in various fields, the Serbian company Frikom won a silver medal for its project on the theme of sport, “Frikom Basket”. In the framework of this project Frikom reconstructed 40 basketball courts throughout Serbia with the support of the Basketball Federation of Serbia and thus contributed to Serbian basketball and the development of sport throughout the country.
In addition to supporting the reconstruction of basketball courts, Frikom offered all sports fans and ice cream lovers the official ice cream of the Basketball Federation of Serbia, “Basket”, packaged in the shape of a basketball, in vanilla and chocolate flavors. In order to promote Serbian basketball, Frikom also produced the album “The Success of our Basketball”, in which they remind the public of all the successes of the Serbian national team from 1961 to date. For the younger ones, Frikom prepared a mini web and android game Basket; those with the best results were awarded a basketball, an original jersey of the basketball team of Serbia, and the winner of the final round was awarded a trip to Eurobasket.
In the year in which it celebrated its jubilee – 40 years of business – Frikom continued to develop and implement socially responsible projects in order to share its success and long-standing presence in the market with the community in which it operates. Support for sport, Serbian basketball and the promotion of sports values among young people were the inspiration for the company in conducting the Basket project.
This is the ninth consecutive year that ESA – The European Sponsorship Association – has given awards, and apart from Frikom, which took home the silver, awards were also won by large European companies such as Swedish Tele 2, which was awarded the gold, and Mercedes-Benz from Germany and ING from Belgium, which shared the bronze.
