Ahead of the upcoming Young Lions Croatia competition, designed for young talents in the communications industry, all (potential) applicants, as well as past competitors, are invited to Young Lions: The Hunt Begins – a warm-up gathering taking place on February 26 at 4 PM at Botaničar (Trg Marka Marulića 6, Zagreb). This exclusive event will provide all interested attendees with valuable insights about the competition.
At this dynamic and engaging event, participants can expect:
🔹 An in-depth look at the competition categories – learn what the 24-hour challenge entails and get answers to important questions like: Is it more important to bring a blanket or slippers?—all explained by the competition’s head, Helena Fuker (HURA).
🔹 Exclusive insights from the jury – President Sean Poropat (Studio Sonda) and jury members Marina Knežević (Kraš) and Alen Kekić (I TO NIJE SVE!), moderated by Dunja Ivana Ballon (HURA), will share what they seek in a winning project, how they would approach the 24-hour creative challenge, and what makes a submission stand out. Expect short, honest, and brutally useful insights – this session is more of a cheat sheet for success than a traditional panel discussion.
🔹 Meet last year’s Young Lions Grand Prix winners! Lara Burazin and Jelena Ceković (404 agency) will showcase their winning project that took them to Cannes, sharing firsthand experiences from the prestigious festival.
🔹 Roaring 2000s Quiz – a fun competition for Gen Z and millennials to test their knowledge of the communications industry.
For the most agile and prepared, prizes are up for grabs, and throughout the event, participants can enjoy an open bar.
Participation is free, but due to the event’s exclusivity, registration is required via [email protected] by February 24, 2025. The event is open to all past, current, and future applicants, as well as those who simply want to experience the thrill of this exciting competition.
As a reminder, Young Lions Croatia will take place live on March 7-8, 2025, in Zagreb, and the best young communicators will go on to represent Croatia at the global Young Lions competition during the Cannes Lions Festival. Applications are now open!
