More than two hundred runners gathered on Friday at the first B2B RUN race in the city of Split. Confirming once again that Split is the “sportiest city in the world” and showing a strong team spirit, more than 200 runners gathered in 22 teams from various Croatian companies ran it this five km race. Cheered by a large number of fans, the first place in the category of small businesses went to the team of Polufinale Ltd., in the category of medium-sized businesses first was the team of Adriagate Ltd., and in the category of large companies Ericsson Nikola Tesla took the first lace. A special award for the team that most contributed to the atmosphere of the race was won by the team of HEP ODS Ltd., and the most-fit company was declared NIRS TRGOVINE. In the individual competition, first at the finish line were Nikolina Šustić Stanković in the women’s competition, and Marin Koceić in men, both from Ericsson Nikola Tesla.
This race, designed exclusively for the business community, at one point gathered employees of various companies from Split, who ran in teams of at least three members, to defend the colors of their teams and better connect with colleagues outside their work environment.
“I’m proud of our team and the result that we’ve achieved. I’m glad we had the opportunity to show our racing skills, motivation and team spirit, and with the best fans in the world, taking on these five kilometers was an easy task. We look forward to this race next year, when we will, I believe, sign-up in even greater numbers,” said Nikolina Šustić Stanković from the winning team of Ericsson Nikola Tesla.
The title sponsor of the race was Croatian Telecom (HT), for whom B2B RUN was one of the largest projects of internal communication in the past year.
“We believed that there would be a big turnout in Split, but the number of teams and the atmosphere they created absolutely impressed us. Running through the beautiful streets of Split with the most beautiful view of the sea was an excellent bait for runners, and this race, although competitive in spirit, inspired us all to socialize and network through physical activity which will, I believe, be useful in further operations,” said Boris Batelić, board member and director of user experience at Croatian Telecom.
Over 1,200 runners from more than 100 companies have so far registered for the business race in Croatia B2B RUN powered by HT. The next B2B RUN will be held in two weeks, on 2. June in Rijeka. It will be followed by races in Osijek on 30 June, and the final race in Zagreb on 15 September this year.
